ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Why should I buy Sterling Substainable Mattresses for my Hotel?

We have a proven Sustainable Mattress design that delivers superior comfort and lasting quality that will reduce your cost of bed ownership by 50% while reducing solid waste. This is important for individual property owners and for the environment because the numbers involved are huge. According to the American Hotel and Lodging Association, (AH&LA), American hotels will replace 700,000 beds in 2015. Using these figures this old beds will generate close to 33.6 million cubic feet of solid waste this year alone. We estimate that half of this solid waste and half of the money spent buying new beds could have been prevented by purchasing our Sterling Sustainable Mattresses™. AH&LA figures show there are 4.9 million hotel rooms in the US that typically replace beds on average in seven year cycles. The vast majority of these seven year old hotel beds end up in the land fill because recycling costs exceed the value of the materials recovered and the low demand for used and reconditioned hotel beds.
